All the CG in the world couldn't feed me a scare...and nothing beats the showdown between MacCready and Blair.

You beat me to it but that's okay, I'll give you my one sentence review anyway!
ReplyDeleteA great "thing" indeed it tries to imitate, but I left the theater full of regret and hate.
Correct.
ReplyDeleteHi guys, I've never seen the original and I'm sure as hell would never see this remake!
ReplyDelete@ruth I'm glad your stance on horror includes crap remakes.
ReplyDeleteIt’s no great thing, just a better Thing than expected. It’s not incredibly scary but has the same tense and paranoid feel that the Carpenter version went for, and it works in a way. The problem is that on own it’s own, it doesn’t really work. Good review. Check out mine when you get the chance.
ReplyDelete@Dan O. Will do. I'll save my comments for when I check it out.
ReplyDeleteSusccint and to the point, I like it. This movie was terrible. Also enjoyed perusing your blog.
ReplyDelete@3guys Thanks for checking the blog out. Correct, this movie is terrible.
ReplyDeleteI forget if I mentioned this when I commented on your review, but I added Shogun Assassin to my queue. I'm kind of stoked for that one.
