Happy Birthday Geoffrey Rush!

For 43 more minutes, it will still be Geoffrey Rush's birthday. I really need to get better at checking birthdays BEFORE 11:30 at night. I'll get better as I get more accustomed to wishing people I'll never meet a long life, etc. Anyways, Rush turned 60 today, so let's make with the remembrance and such!

One of my favorite Geoffrey Rush roles is the Marquis de Sade, from the movie Quills. If he's not trying to woo you with, uh, lovely poetry, he's busy screaming obscenities at you. The movie also features the always-scrumptious Kate Winslet, and Joaquin Phoenix before he went insane and almost bankrupted Casey Affleck.

Oh, what the hell. I'll throw in his part as Barbossa in Pirates of the Caribbean, but only because it's relevant to this summer's offering. You already know how awesome he was whenever he was on screen. I just made it official.

There are plenty of other memorable roles by Geoffrey Rush, but I'm a little short on time at the moment (No, I never blog while at work.). So, I'd like to know what your favorites are. Peter Sellers, perhaps? Let us know, and wish him a probably belated happy birthday!
