Walking Dead Character To Get Spin-Off Series

The season two finale for AMC's "The Walking Dead" was the most watched basic cable drama telecast in history no thanks to T-Dog. In a bold network move, the unpopular character will be getting his own spin-off show next year titled "The Inconsequential Dead." Fans of the series might be scratching their heads as to why the powers that be would choose to focus the new show around a guy who mostly stands around and only occasionally gets in on the zombie mayhem, but executives insist that this is the right move going forward. "Killing the token black guy would be a far too easy and predictable way to get rid his worthless character," said one AMC exec. "By showcasing T-Dog's unique ability to do nothing in The Inconsequential Dead, we'll most likely be able to just cancel him away after a few episodes."

The show's creators were asked about what viewers can expect from T-Dog's solo adventures at a recent fan convention. "Not much," said one writer. "He's basically going to hole up in a rural Wal-Mart, and may possibly run into some survivors who will turn out to be much more useful than him."

.......and meet survivors more useful than him

The writers also explained that a new show must also have a new zombie threat. "Expect to see a lazier zombie in The Inconsequential Dead. They're going to be less agitated about being undead, and we feel this will better reflect T-Dog's more laid back approach to being a character."

"The Walking Dead" is an extremely popular show, and AMC will be getting rid of an extremely worthless character if the spin-off is cancelled. It's shaping up to be a win win situation for the network as well as the non fans of T-Dog. Now if only they could do something about Carl!

  1. Hahaha! Love it. Really, is it that hard to throw the guy a bone (no pun intended, if you can believe that)? Even Herschel's no-name family members had more storylines than T.

Though I think Carl gets fed up with his parents and joins T-Dog in his amazingly inconsequential adventures. Carl does all the talking and then T-Dog looks for him when he gets lost when he should have been holed up in the house - er, Wal-Mart.

    1. yeah, my wife and I just hate T-dog. I liked the guy from season one that Rick first meets, but then later leaves to go to Atlanta. Why not have that guy be the token? He was much more interesting I felt.

  2. Hilarious post!

Every episode will have T-Dog doing absolutely nothing and MAYBE you will see a zombie!...at Walmart or a field...by accident.

    1. I have no love whatsoever for T-Dog. Dale dies....Shane dies....but T-Dog gets to live? I can't figure that one out!

  3. I don't know T-Dog did cut his arm once, and Daryl laid on him. I bet he was comfortable at least.

    1. I think that was the highlight of his character arc too!

  4. Yo, what are you talking about? They allowed him to drive the truck off the farm and they even gave him like 2 minutes of screen time (with dialogue my God!) in the season's finale! This is uncalled for.
