Sinister Success Spawns Shocking Super Stepping Sequel

It wasn't the number one film when it debuted at the box office recently, but the studio behind Sinister can still smile about its terrifyingly terrific performance. The Ethan Hawke starring horror flick hauled in over $18 million dollars against a much smaller budget, and it managed to impress critics as well as genre fans in the process. Audiences who were significantly spooked about the exploits of the demon known as Bughuul (pronounced BUH-GHOUL) can rejoice because Mr. Boogie will be back! Summit Entertainment has already been working on a sequel that promises to raise the bar and set a new standard for original horror entertainment.

Sinister 2: Electric Bughuul-A-loo will act as a prequel of sorts, and see Bughuul tormenting some urban dancers during the 80's. Director Scott Derrickson will return to call the shots, and he gave GPS a little taste of what we can expect in the next chapter of this delightfully disturbing franchise. "The super-8 snuff stuff was great for the first one, but we've really got to take it to the next level," says Derrickson. "Since this one will be taking place in the 80's, I knew it would only be appropriate for Bughuul to be unleashed from a giant boombox after some hapless breakdancer finds it. After listening to Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five on it, the nightmare will begin!"

after hapless breakdancer uses the giant mysterious boombox.....

...Bughuul will reign terror on 80's urbanites

If Summit is successful with the sequel, we could see annual installments of the Sinister franchise gracing multiplexes.  Sinister 2: Electric Bughuul-A-loo is currently marked for a fall 2013 release. In the meantime, you can still enjoy that guy from Dead Poets Society taking on ancient evil at your local theater.
